[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 28th that it has produced a video titled 'Safe Consumption Life Guide for Seniors' in collaboration with the Korea Consumer Agency to prevent common daily and financial safety accidents among elderly consumers.
The Safe Consumption Life Guide for Seniors includes seven common accident cases frequently experienced by elderly consumers. These include ▲precautions when subscribing to financial investment products, ▲prevention of voice phishing telephone financial fraud, ▲fall accidents, ▲misuse of pharmaceuticals, ▲dog bite incidents, ▲consumption of health functional foods, and ▲precautions when using walking aids. The guide was created as animations for each major case to enhance understanding, and warnings were displayed in large letters to maximize the effectiveness of information provision.
To ensure that more elderly consumers can access this safety content, the two organizations distributed the video to related institutions such as Nonghyup Bank, local governments, and TV home shopping channels, and also posted it on their official websites and social network service (SNS) channels for easy access by anyone. From October 2 to 18, an event to share the video through SNS channels will also be held to promote the video.
Son Byung-hwan, President of Nonghyup Bank, said, “I hope this video content will greatly help create a safe financial and consumption environment for seniors,” and added, “We will strive to disseminate it to more elderly consumers through various media such as the homepage and SNS, as well as offline channels.”
