Aegis Asset Management Ranks 3rd Globally in Asia Real Estate AUM

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Aegis Asset Management announced on the 28th that it ranked 3rd in Asia for real estate assets under management (AUM) in the ‘Global Managers 2020’ report released by the global real estate media organization IREI.


Last year, Aegis Asset Management ranked 3rd in Asia for real estate assets under management, and this year recorded $20.67 billion, maintaining its 3rd place behind Singapore’s GLP and Switzerland’s UBS.

IREI, established in 1987, is an organization that provides information on the global real estate and infrastructure markets through media, conferences, and advisory services. IREI’s ‘Global Managers’ annually publishes rankings of asset managers by continent, including North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as a comprehensive global asset ranking.


Aegis Asset Management manages a total of $28.29 billion in real estate assets worldwide, not only domestically. Accordingly, it ranked 44th out of 207 asset managers globally and took 1st place among domestic asset managers in the global real estate asset rankings.


In addition, Aegis Asset Management received the highest rating of 5 stars in GRESB’s real estate asset evaluation in 2018, ranking 1st in the Asia region for unlisted office properties.


Aegis Asset Management officials stated, “We are solidifying our position as a global asset manager by achieving remarkable growth in overseas markets beyond Korea,” and added, “We will continue to strive to discover more reliable, stable, and high-quality real estate from the investor’s perspective.”
