[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hanjin Co., Ltd. announced on the 28th that it will pilot a 'Simple Travel Package' delivery service for one month starting October 15. The simple travel package prepared by Hanjin is a rental service where customers receive necessary items for their trip at the hotel, use them, and then return them.
The pilot operation targets 50 teams who book the weekend 2-night 3-day stay package (Hallasan view) at Jeju Seogwipo KAL Hotel. During the pilot period, applications can only be made using Korean Air's Skypass mileage.
The rental items include clothing (2 sets of tops and bottoms or 2 dresses), a Polaroid camera (including 2 packs of film), a Dyson brand hairstyler, and an umbrella/sunshade. Clothing can be selected from ClosetShare, a shared wardrobe service that allows renting clothes matching the travel concept.
Based on the pilot results and customer surveys, Hanjin plans to supplement the rental items and finalize the sales prices. Additionally, the service area will be expanded mainly to hotels nationwide where parcel delivery is possible, and app-based reservation services will also be provided.
