[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 28th, Mr. A, an official of the Planning and Economy Committee of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the closure of the Seoul Metropolitan Council Members' Hall.
However, Chairman Kim In-ho, who did not have contact with this official, is working normally at the council's main building.
The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim In-ho) announced that they have requested the dispatch of epidemiological investigators and will separately contact those subject to testing after identifying close contacts.
Accordingly, some Seoul Metropolitan Council staff began working from home that day. Council members were also prohibited from entering the Members' Hall.
The main building of the Seoul Metropolitan Council is operating with minimal staff, while the rest have shifted to remote work.
An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Council Secretariat said, "We ask that face-to-face contact be avoided as much as possible for the time being."
