[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Samyook University announced on the 28th that a preparatory pharmacy program for admission to the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy in the United States will be established at Samyook University. Students can gain special admission to the U.S. pharmacy school with the bachelor's degree and credits earned at Samyook University. This is the first time that a U.S. pharmacy school has recognized credits earned outside the North American region. Samyook University students who complete designated prerequisite courses offered by the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences and the Department of English Language and Literature, and meet the required language proficiency and other conditions, can directly enter the pharmacy school without taking a separate pre-pharmacy program or the PCAT exam. This program is independent of degree or major and is open to all students at Samyook University. The two schools also signed a preferred admission agreement allowing Samyook University pharmacy graduates to complete the 4-year program at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy in 3 years.
