From Policy Introductions for Gwanak Youth to a Communication Platform for Youth Facing the COVID Era... Live Broadcast with Real-Time Participation via ZOOM and Live Gwanak YouTube Channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) successfully concluded the "Untact Youth Empathy Talk Show" on the 24th at 6:30 PM through the Gwanak-gu Office YouTube channel Live Gwanak.
The district prepared this talk show with the purpose of creating a space for young people to gather and communicate together, as the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has increased social isolation among youth and made it difficult to form social networks.
This event was held as a non-face-to-face online talk show in line with the untact era, encouraging free participation without location restrictions and providing an opportunity to hear the voices of more young people.
The first part of the talk show, which began with a congratulatory performance by the youth musician team Ha Hyun, was held under the theme "Youth Life Exploration Team." Five panelists ? Gwak Seunghee, Center Director of Gwanak Orang Sillim-dong Three-Room; Jeong Seonggwang, Manager of Sillim-dong Three-Room; Park Geonryul, Coordinator of Gwanak Youth Network; Park Hojin, Manager of Nakseong Venture Valley; and Park Heeseon, Section Chief of Gwanak Youth Network ? gathered to share their experiences of failure in various fields and how they overcame them.
In the second part, a communication forum was held where young people freely expressed their concerns about life changes in the COVID-19 era.
Along with the on-site panelists, online youth panelists participated via ZOOM, and participants watching through the YouTube channel expressed their thoughts through the real-time chat window.
Through a session where panelists and online participants collaborated to create a "one-line keyword" about the hopes of young people, various suggestions were made, including ▲increasing youth mental health programs ▲expanding youth startup collaboration programs ▲enhancing online youth participation programs ▲establishing emergency support services for youth care within the region.
The youth panelists shared their impressions, saying, "It was so fun that I lost track of time," and "I was very nervous because it was live, but we made good memories by sharing stories with each other."
In the real-time comments, witty responses continued, such as "It feels more relatable because the introduction was about failure, not success," "Let's overcome this crisis together," and "Please create a youth dating allowance."
Mayor Park Junhee said, "The Youth Empathy Talk Show was a meaningful event where we could hear various voices of young people. We will strive to create a Gwanak where youth want to live by providing communication channels for young people who have been withdrawn due to the COVID-19 era."
