Utilizing Citizen Feedback on Seoul City Administration for 2020 Administrative Audit... Chair Kim In-ho: "Promoting a Substantial Administrative Audit Reflecting Voices from the Field through Citizen Reports"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim In-ho) is accepting citizen reports ahead of the 2020 Administrative Audit, which will be conducted over 14 days from November 3 to 16.
This citizen reporting aims to strengthen communication with Seoul citizens and collect opinions on illegal or unfair matters in city administration, in order to improve them.
The subjects for reporting include illegal or unfair matters in city administration and educational administration, issues requiring policy improvement, and other matters causing inconvenience to citizens' daily lives. The reported content will be reflected during the administrative audit or used as materials for legislative activities.
This year, information on major Seoul city policy projects will be provided together at the 'Administrative Audit Citizen Report' reception desk to improve the convenience and utilization of reports.
However, matters that infringe on personal privacy, ongoing trials or investigations, personal attacks or concerns about false defamation, anonymous reports, and other issues inappropriate for handling through the administrative audit will be excluded.
Reports can be submitted through various methods such as the council’s website, email, visits, mail, and fax from September 25 to October 24 for one month. The personal information of reporters will be kept confidential.
Chairman Kim In-ho stated, “It is the role of the Seoul Metropolitan Council to improve the inconveniences and unfairness that citizens personally see, hear, and experience in the field, thereby enhancing the quality of life for citizens.” He added, “We will listen to citizens’ opinions through various communication channels and faithfully perform checks and supervision over Seoul city and Seoul city education through a substantive administrative audit that reflects the voices from the field.”
