"Cheong·Yeo, Fully Engaged in Praising and Defending Kim Jong-un"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, criticized North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un's apology regarding the shooting incident of the missing public official on Yeonpyeong Island on the 26th, saying, "If North Korea is going to apologize, they should do it themselves. Why have President Moon Jae-in read the apology on their behalf? Is there any sincerity?" He added, "Is our government a proxy office for handling North Korea's orders?"
At the first meeting of the 'Task Force for Investigating the Atrocities of North Korea's Shooting and Burning of Our Citizens' held at the National Assembly that day, Chairman Kim said, "They said all communication channels with North Korea were cut off, but how did they exchange letters? It’s questionable." He continued, "If the Moon Jae-in administration suddenly tries to cover up this incident with a traditional letter from North Korea and an insincere apology to evade responsibility, it will be a self-destructive act that digs the grave of the regime."
Chairman Kim stated, "This atrocious incident is a disgraceful military provocation where North Korean soldiers shot our unarmed citizens and horrifically burned their bodies," and pointed out, "The government still seems to be ignoring the seriousness of the situation."
He also said, "Even after seeing the notification full of shameless denial of responsibility, the Blue House and the ruling party are busy praising and defending Chairman Kim," and added, "The truth about the 47 hours of President Moon must be revealed to settle the controversy over his qualifications as commander-in-chief."
Chairman Kim declared, "Our party will use all means to hold North Korea heavily accountable," and said, "The truth must be uncovered through the International Criminal Court, and they must be punished under international law."
