[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has prepared a humanities and liberal arts lecture series suitable for autumn.

Starting from the 25th, the district will conduct the "Global Citizen University, Ewha-Jungnang Academy" for 50 residents via live broadcast on YouTube. This academy, held over a total of 12 sessions, will take place every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for two hours.

The "Global Citizen University, Ewha-Jungnang Academy" is a lecture series designed to provide residents with more diverse and high-quality learning opportunities. Utilizing excellent instructors and curricula from Ewha Womans University Global Future Lifelong Education Institute, with which a business agreement was signed in 2019, it aims to offer residents the joy of learning.

This academy has attracted great interest even before its opening, featuring 12 outstanding instructors including Professor Kang Won-guk, author of the president’s writing book, Professor Jin Ki-nam from Yonsei University’s Department of Health Administration, and comic artist Kim Tae-kwon.

In particular, the lectures cover various recent issues such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and creative thinking, economic outlook in the post-COVID-19 era, asset management methods that take care of both retirement and children, and wisdom to prepare for a healthy life in the 100-year era, promising to be beneficial for residents.

The lectures will be conducted via YouTube live broadcast, and students can access the classes through the internet address (URL) provided before each session.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “This academy is a time to listen to professional lectures through excellent instructors,” adding, “We will continue to strive to establish a lifelong learning culture by opening various lectures.”

In 2019, the district conducted the "Global Citizen University, Ewha-Jungnang Academy" for 59 residents, receiving great responses from the community.
