On the 24th (local time), according to BBC and others, market inspectors from Binh Duong Province in Vietnam recently discovered a scene of condom recycling at a factory near Ho Chi Minh City.
The inspectors seized 360 kg of used condoms at the site, which corresponds to approximately 345,000 condoms by weight.
The factory owner, A (34), stated, "We received used condoms every month, boiled and cleaned them at the factory, and then repackaged them," adding, "We received $0.17 (about 198 KRW) per kilogram of recycled condoms."
It has not yet been confirmed how many recycled condoms were sold.
Vietnamese police are currently tracking who supplied the condoms on such a large scale.
