Applications Accepted Until 4 PM on the 8th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 25th that it will conduct a design competition to select a designer for the ‘Ssangchon Youth Culture House Construction Project.’
The ‘Ssangchon Youth Culture House Construction Project’ is planned to be built as a training facility with a total floor area of approximately 2,000㎡ at 1287-1 Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, as part of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s youth facility expansion project to support various activities of local youth.
To promote the project, Seo-gu has been carrying out procedures such as demand surveys targeting local youth and forming a construction review committee since last year, and through this competition, aims to select a capable designer who understands the characteristics of the project well.
The competition method is a proposal competition, and the designer’s ideas on the proposal task will be comprehensively evaluated, with the winner being granted the basic and detailed design rights (design service fee of about 250 million KRW).
Prize money for winners will be paid differentially (one excellent work: 5 million KRW, one runner-up: 3 million KRW).
The competition will be held for a total of 48 days including evaluation, and architects wishing to register must visit the Architecture Support Team of the Architecture and Housing Division at Seo-gu Office by 4 p.m. on the 8th of next month to register, and submit the proposal on the 29th of the same month.
