Thirty-eight Public Events Scheduled Nationwide
'Araetnyeok Suryukjae' and 'Seungjeonmu' to Accommodate Minimum Audience
The National Intangible Heritage Center and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced on the 25th that they will hold thirty-eight public events nationwide next month for the National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, functional categories will focus on exhibitions, while performing arts categories will be staged without audiences. However, the 'No. 127 Araetneuk Suryeokjae (Muhaksan Baegunsa Suryeokdoryang)' and 'No. 21 Seungjeonmu (National Treasure Sebyeonggwan Yard)' held in Gyeongnam will accommodate a limited audience. Performances without audiences can be viewed on the National Intangible Heritage Center website.
In Seoul, seventeen public events will be held. These include 'No. 22 Maedeupjang (Kim Hyesun)', 'No. 89 Chimseonjang (Koo Hyeja and others at the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center)', 'No. 49 Songpa Sandae Nori (Seoul Play Yard)', 'No. 5 Pansori (Kim Cheongman and Shin Younghee)', 'No. 30 Gagok (Kim Kyungbae)', 'No. 20 Daegeum Jeongak (Jo Changhoon)', 'No. 40 Hakyeonhwa Daehapseolmu', 'No. 104 Seoul Saenamgut', 'No. 34 Gangnyeong Talchum', 'No. 29 Seodo Sori (Kim Kwangsook)', 'No. 41 Gasa (Lee Juna)', and 'No. 92 Taepyeongmu (Lee Myungja and others at the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center Folk Theater Pungnyu)'. Also featured are 'No. 126 Jingwansa Suryeokjae (Jingwansa)', 'No. 38 Joseon Royal Court Cuisine (Jung Gilja, Royal Court Confectionery Research Institute)', and 'No. 106 Gakjajang (Kim Gakhan, Gowon Gakja Research Institute)', as well as 'No. 27 Seungmu (Lee Aeju, Seoul Donhwamun Gugakdang)'.
In Incheon, 'No. 47 Gungsijang (Park Hojun, Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center)' and 'No. 91 Jewajang (Kim Changdae, Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 Departure Hall Special Exhibition Hall)' will be held. In Gyeonggi, 'No. 55 Somokjang (Park Myungbae, Yeongsan Workshop Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop)', 'No. 74 Daemokjang (Choi Kiyoung, Daemokjang Choi Kiyoung Master Transmission Education Center)', and 'No. 58 Jultagi (Kim Daegyun, Jultagi Transmission Education Center)' will take place. In Gangwon, 'No. 125 Samhwasa Suryeokjae (Samhwasa area)' will be held, and in Chungbuk, 'No. 92 Taepyeongmu (Park Jaehee, Cheongju Arts Center Small Theater)', 'No. 101 Geumsok Hwaljajang (Im Inho, Metal Movable Type Transmission Education Center)', and 'No. 112 Jucheoljjang (Won Gwangsik, Jucheoljjang Transmission Center)' will be showcased.
In Jeonbuk, 'No. 55 Somokjang (So Byeongjin, Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center)' and 'No. 112 Hanjijang (Hong Chunsu, Cheongung Traditional Hanji Workshop)' will be held, and in Jeonnam, 'No. 100 Okjang (Jang Juwon, Transmission Education Center)' will take place. In Gyeongbuk, 'No. 87 Myeongju Jjagi (Dusong Green Rural Experience Village)', 'No. 47 Gungsijang (Kwon Younghak, Home Workshop)', 'No. 69 Hahoe Byeolsingut Talnori (Hahoe Byeolsingut Talnori Transmission Education Center)', and 'No. 77 Yugijang (Lee Hyunggeun, Bangjja Yugichon)' will be presented. In Gyeongnam, besides 'No. 127 Araetneuk Suryeokjae' and 'No. 21 Seungjeonmu', 'No. 108 Mokjokgakjang (Park Chansu, Moga Mokjokgakjang Transmission Center)' will also be performed. In Jeju, 'No. 67 Tanggeonjang (Kim Hyejung)' and 'No. 4 Gatil (Jang Sunja, Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center)' will be held.
