Posco Construction Provides Food Ingredients to Multicultural Families in Incheon for Chuseok

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] POSCO Engineering & Construction is providing Chuseok food ingredients and cooking method videos to 18 group homes and 15 multicultural households in the Incheon area ahead of Chuseok.

POSCO Engineering & Construction is delivering refrigerated cooking ingredients for Chuseok dishes such as beef bulgogi, japchae, and songpyeon to socially marginalized groups living in welfare facilities and multicultural families who are not familiar with making traditional Korean food.

Han Seong-hee, the president, along with the POSCO Engineering & Construction cooking volunteer team, demonstrated how to prepare each dish through YouTube, enabling group homes and multicultural families to easily cook while watching the videos.

The cooking demonstration video by President Han and the employees will be released on the POSCO Engineering & Construction YouTube channel on the 28th.

Ms. Duzmaniyadovariliya, originally from Uzbekistan, who received the Chuseok food ingredients, said, “Due to COVID-19, it was difficult to visit my hometown during the Chuseok holiday, but I plan to have a joyful time cooking Korean food with my children,” adding, “I am looking forward to the YouTube broadcast.”

A POSCO Engineering & Construction official said, “Although visits to hometowns are being refrained from due to COVID-19 during the nation’s biggest holiday, Chuseok, we hope everyone has a warm Chuseok holiday in their hearts,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that help the local community and society by practicing our corporate citizenship management philosophy.”
