Paldo Launches ‘Paldo Teumsae Ramen Bokkeummyeon’ Reborn with Intense Spicy Flavor

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Paldo announced on the 25th that it will launch ‘Paldo Teumsae Ramen Stir-fried Noodles’ on the 3rd of next month.

‘Teumsae Stir-fried Noodles’ is a new product from the domestic representative spicy ramen brand ‘Teumsae Ramen.’ The product is a ramen dish eaten stir-fried without soup, and it is the first in the brand to use liquid seasoning to enhance its mixed sauce flavor.

The liquid seasoning is based on ‘Vietnamese Haneulcho,’ the main ingredient of Teumsae Ramen. Additionally, new ingredients such as ‘stir-fried vegetables’ and ‘grilled aroma’ are added to deliver an addictive spicy taste. The dried garnish soup contains four ingredients: seaweed, sesame, egg, and tempura flakes, which enhance the savory flavor and rich texture.

The noodles are also new. To maintain a chewy and firm texture, the protein content ratio was increased, and the noodle thickness was increased by about 25%. The ingredient mixing ratio was also changed to minimize ‘starch elution,’ resulting in a clean taste.

Teumsae Stir-fried Noodles is characterized by customers participating directly from planning to development. In February, Paldo announced a call for new product development targeting customers through its social network service (SNS) channels. Subsequently, a total of 100 customer advisory members were selected and given the opportunity to participate in all development processes for about six months, from product type selection to sensory evaluation and design production. The advisory group was composed of people who usually enjoy spicy flavors, including university students majoring in food engineering, chefs, YouTubers, and influencers, enhancing both expertise and popularity.
