Busan Gijang-gun Public Health Center, Workplace Mental Health Education and Campaign

Mental Health Welfare Center, Hansuwon Radiation Health Institute, and Busan Mental Health Welfare Center Sign MOU

Busan Gijang-gun Public Health Center, Workplace Mental Health Education and Campaign Busan Gijang-gun Mental Health Welfare Center, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Radiation Health Institute, and Busan Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center signed a business agreement.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Mental Health Welfare Center of Busan Gijang-gun Public Health Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 18th with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Radiation Health Institute and Busan Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center to promote the mental health of workers within KHNP.


Since 2018, Gijang-gun Public Health Center has been operating the Mental Health Welfare Center in consignment with Haeundae Paik Hospital, conducting mental health problem prevention and early intervention projects targeting young and middle-aged residents such as workers and university students in the district.


They are promoting mental health promotion projects such as mental health screening campaigns and stress management education, as well as various programs for the welfare of people with mental illnesses.


Additionally, they have provided mental health services to various institutions and organizations such as the National Institute of Fisheries Science and the Southeast Nuclear Medicine Institute, receiving a commendation from the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries in December 2018.


Through this agreement, the Gijang-gun Mental Health Welfare Center plans to conduct a weekly mental health campaign for workers and is preparing to offer mental health education for workers as a non-face-to-face service due to COVID-19.


A representative of the Gijang-gun Mental Health Welfare Center stated, “We plan to maintain continuous exchanges with the relevant institutions to promote the mental health of workers.”
