On the 24th, fruits from the Cheongnyangni Fruit and Vegetable Market shops damaged by fire were sold at Dongdaemun-gu Office Plaza. Yudeok-yeol Dongdaemun-gu Mayor is inspecting grapes.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) held an event on the 24th at the Dongdaemun-gu Office plaza to sell fire-damaged fruit in order to support shops affected by the Cheongnyangni Fruit and Vegetable Market fire.

On the 21st, the district sold fruit from the damaged shops at Cheongnyangni Fruit and Vegetable Market, which suffered significant fire damage, including 30 boxes and 820 pears, 45 boxes of grapes, with a total sales amount of 5.93 million KRW, to district office employees and residents.

Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, we decided to sell the remaining fruit that was burned in order to economically support and comfort the market merchants who suffered great losses from the large fire. We will prepare support measures as soon as possible so that the merchants can recover quickly.”
