[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Sookmyung Women's University announced on the 24th that it will jointly respond with Yongsan District Office to create a safe admission environment from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) ahead of the 2021 academic year early and regular admission screening.

To this end, Sookmyung Women's University signed an agreement to overcome the infectious disease disaster crisis, and during the college entrance examination period, Yongsan District Office, as well as related local institutions such as health centers, police stations, and fire stations, will form a COVID-19 joint response team (TF) to carry out real-time quarantine and infectious disease measures. From late October, when interviews and practical exams are scheduled, until January next year, they plan to intensify daily quarantine at subway stations, bus stops, and public facilities near Sookmyung Women's University, and ensure that rapid transportation and follow-up disinfection work can be immediately implemented through a permanent hotline in case of suspected COVID-19 cases.

President Jang Yoon-geum said, "In Sookmyung Women's University admissions, we will cooperate with the local community to establish the highest level of safety measures so that applicants can be free from worries about infectious diseases under any circumstances."
