[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences announced on the 24th that it will live stream the 1st "Korean New Deal Policy Forum" online on the 25th.
This policy forum was organized to gather expert opinions and build public consensus for the successful implementation of the "Korean New Deal" and to address key issues.
The Korean New Deal Policy Forum will proceed with an opening ceremony consisting of congratulatory remarks by Yonggi Kim, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Jobs, a welcome speech and keynote lecture by Kyungryung Sung, Chairman of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, followed by Session 1, Session 2, and a comprehensive discussion.
In Session 1, chaired by Hongsik Cho, President of the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, Jongil Yoo, President of the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, will present on "The Historical Significance of the Korean New Deal," followed by discussions with Heungjong Kim, President of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, Wonhyuk Lim, Professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Dooul Kim, Professor at Myongji University.
In Session 2, under the theme "Overcoming COVID-19 and the Korean New Deal," chaired by Jaehak Oh, President of the Korea Transport Institute, discussions will be held with Hyunwook Kim, Professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Seungryeol Lee, Vice President of the Korea Labor Institute, Hoyul Kwon, President of the Korea Information Society Development Institute, and Jeyong Yoon, President of the Korea Environment Institute.
The subsequent comprehensive discussion, chaired by Chairman Kyungryung Sung, will include Vice Chairman Yonggi Kim, President Jaehak Oh, and President Jongil Yoo.
