Busan Area Elderly Welfare Facilities Support Single-Parent Families and Child Protection Centers
Delivery of Goods and Donations Worth a Total of 124 Million Won

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Korea Housing Finance Corporation has stepped up to deliver donations and goods to support vulnerable groups and the local economy ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
On the 24th, the Housing Finance Corporation announced that it delivered donations and goods to the Busan Community Chest of Korea to help welfare facility users and local small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and jointly purchased Chuseok items with local welfare center directors at traditional markets using Onnuri gift certificates.
Through the Busan Community Chest of Korea, they prepared Onnuri gift certificates and local agricultural product exchange vouchers worth 111 million KRW to support ▲elderly welfare facilities ▲single-parent families and child protection facilities in the Busan area. Additionally, they provided 13 million KRW in donations to purchase necessary disinfection and hygiene kits for elderly welfare centers vulnerable to infectious diseases such as COVID-19, delivering goods and donations worth a total of 124 million KRW.
Lee Jeong-hwan, President of the Housing Finance Corporation, said, “Through this support, we hope to help vulnerable groups in the local community who are facing difficulties due to the resurgence of COVID-19 to have a warm Chuseok holiday, even if just a little.”
