The main office of the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office will operate normally on holidays, and the northern and southern branches will operate normally on Saturdays and public holidays except Sundays. In addition, the existing working hours will be extended by starting one hour earlier, from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Also, anticipating that many farmers will rent agricultural machinery during the harvest season, preparations are being made to ensure no disruption in machinery rental by subscribing to comprehensive insurance for rental agricultural machinery to prevent safety accidents and completing machinery repair inspections.
In particular, considering the difficulties faced by rural areas due to COVID-19, the rental fee for agricultural machinery has been reduced by 50% from April to December, and old machinery is being replaced with new models to ensure thorough operation of the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Since frequent agricultural machinery accidents occur during farming work, we ask that safety rules for agricultural machinery use be followed to prevent accidents, including refraining from excessive work, avoiding nighttime work, and prohibiting drunk driving.”
