[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Financial authorities are set to cooperate on sharing financial supervisory information with the Bank of Thailand.


On the 24th, the Financial Services Commission announced that Eun Sung-soo, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, and Yoon Seok-heon, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Veratai Santipraphom, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, on cooperation in the financial sector and financial service innovation.


The two countries have established a mutual cooperation framework for sharing experiences and information on financial policies and supervisory tasks, including financial supervision models, operational systems, and regulations on innovative financial services, as well as technical support.


A Financial Services Commission official stated, "We expect this to contribute to enhancing supervisory efficiency and technological innovation in the changing financial environment."
