Assemblyman Kim Won-i, the 'only' Democratic Party floor deputy leader appointed among Jeonnam region lawmakers

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Representative Kim Won-i (The Democratic Party, Mokpo, Jeonnam, Health and Welfare Committee, Special Budget and Accounts Committee) was appointed as the Deputy Floor Leader of The Democratic Party on the 24th.

He began performing his duties as Deputy Floor Leader starting with attending the floor leader meeting held that day. Representative Kim plans to attend the floor countermeasure meetings held every Tuesday and Thursday.

With his appointment as Deputy Floor Leader, following his roles as a member of the National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee and the Special Budget and Accounts Committee, a positive signal is expected for securing Jeollanam-do's budget and resolving policy issues.

Representative Kim Won-i stated, "I am the only Deputy Floor Leader among the Jeonnam region representatives and Health and Welfare Committee members," adding, "I will work actively within the floor to resolve Jeonnam region's budget and policy issues and to overcome the COVID-19 crisis," expressing his determination upon appointment.

In particular, as a member of the National Assembly's Special Budget and Accounts Committee, Representative Kim is expected to provide strong support for the Korean New Deal 'Island Data Dam Construction' project being promoted in Sinan-gun.
