Haenam-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution in the 9th Korea Knowledge Awards

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do was selected as an excellent institution in the 2020 Korea Knowledge Awards.

According to Haenam-gun on the 24th, the Korea Knowledge Awards is an award jointly presented by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Maekyung Media Group to discover and spread excellent cases of knowledge administration and management in both the private and public sectors.

This year, a total of 62 institutions applied, and after the first document screening and the second national online voting, 21 award-winning institutions were selected. Among them, Haenam-gun was the only recipient at the county-level basic local government.

Haenam-gun is establishing a diverse knowledge administration activity system, including laying the foundation for proactive policy development by organizational members through policy research competitions and mid-level executive policy discovery competitions, collaborative administration through improvement of working methods, and operating various communication channels tailored to the citizens' perspectives to realize the people-first administrative promotion strategy of the 7th elected term.

In addition, through this, it has created various knowledge administration achievements to improve policy quality, streamline work performance methods, and improve systems and work processes, thereby gaining favorable evaluations for enhancing citizen satisfaction.
