[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] SK Stoa announced on the 24th that it will launch the ‘Happy Two Meals Challenge’ in collaboration with the Happiness Alliance.
Starting yesterday (the 23rd), the ‘Happy Two Meals Challenge’ is being held on the SK Stoa mall website and application. It is a donation campaign involving 77 member companies of the Happiness Alliance, local governments, and citizens. The donations support children in welfare blind spots.
Customers can directly donate the reward points accumulated when purchasing products from SK Stoa online. SK Stoa introduces the method to donate reward points for the ‘Happy Two Meals Challenge’ in the ‘Expiring Reward Points Notice’ text messages sent to customers two weeks and two days before their points expire, encouraging customers to participate in small acts of sharing.
The challenge will run until November 30. Customers can choose the donation area among Siheung-si, Ansan-si, Gurye-gun, and Namdong-gu in Incheon. The donated reward points will be used to provide happy lunchboxes to children at risk of food insecurity in these areas.
If participants upload an image of their completed donation or a photo of their meal on social networking services (SNS) with the hashtag ‘#HappyTwoMealsChallenge,’ the Happiness Alliance will make additional donations corresponding to the number of posts uploaded. After completing the donation, participants who enter the event on the Happiness Alliance website will be eligible for a draw to receive prizes such as tickets to Happiness Alliance Day, Vitamin Angels vitamins, and Donggubat natural soap gift sets, which are products from social economy enterprises.
Yoon Seok-am, CEO of SK Stoa, stated, “We understand that children at risk of food insecurity have been greatly exposed to care blind spots during the COVID-19 crisis.” He added, “We will carefully use the expiring reward points donated by customers to deliver warm lunchboxes to children at risk of food insecurity.”
Meanwhile, donated reward points can also be tax-deductible during year-end tax settlement through membership registration on the Happiness Alliance website.
