According to SK Magic on the 24th, the board of directors held a meeting the day before and approved the merger and acquisition of 'AI Plus,' a home-use smart plant cultivation device R&D company. Through this M&A, SK Magic plans to proactively secure technology and personnel and continuously expand related technology development and investment.
AI Plus is a startup that owns IoT-based smart cultivation technology and patents. A plant cultivation device is a system that artificially controls light, temperature, nutrients, etc., in limited indoor spaces to grow various vegetables. It not only supports simple edible cultivation but also has effects such as air purification.
The company explained that since it can also be used for educational and ornamental purposes, cases of installation are gradually increasing not only in homes but also in schools, organizations, and various commercial facilities.
