Sales start from 10 AM on the 28th via mobile payment app... 7% discount, 30% tax deduction benefits available at 7,990 affiliated stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will issue an additional 3.5 billion KRW worth of ‘Guro Love Gift Certificates’ on the 28th.
This issuance of Guro Love Gift Certificates is the third round following 5 billion KRW in April and 5 billion KRW in July. Both previous rounds sold out early.
The Guro Love Gift Certificates are Zero Pay-linked mobile gift certificates issued in three denominations: 10,000 KRW, 50,000 KRW, and 100,000 KRW. They can be used at about 7,990 Zero Pay affiliated stores within the district, excluding large supermarkets and department stores.
This issuance applies a 7% discount rate, and a 30% income deduction benefit is also provided upon payment. Up to 700,000 KRW can be purchased at a discount per month, and up to 2 million KRW can be held. The usage period is five years from the date of purchase.
Purchases can be made from 10 a.m. on the 28th through 14 mobile payment apps including Beeple Zero Pay, Check Pay, Money Tree, Pint, Fink, Payco, T-money Pay, Gwangju Bank, Nonghyup, Busan Bank, Daegu Bank, Gyeongnam Bank, Jeonbuk Bank, and Seulbaesaeng.
A Guro-gu official stated, “We expect local consumption to increase and small business sales to grow through this issuance of Guro Love Gift Certificates,” adding, “We will prepare various support measures to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19.”
Meanwhile, the Guro Love Gift Certificates can also be used on Seoul’s public delivery app ‘Zero Delivery Union.’ Until October 14, if payment is made through Zero Delivery Union apps such as ‘Bureusim,’ ‘Delicious Sound, Ddingdong,’ and ‘Meokkebi,’ an additional 10% discount is available. The event will end early if the budget is exhausted. For more details, refer to the Zero Delivery event homepage.
