Gangnam-gu Hosts Online Community Humanities Lecture Series 'Gangnam Punggyeong'

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will hold the online lecture series "Gangnam Scenery," a Gangnam-gu village humanities lecture, four times from the 24th to the 28th in celebration of the "2020 Seoul Village Week."

"Gangnam Scenery" explores familiar neighborhood scenes from a humanities perspective. Assistant Professor Park Jae-yeon of the Department of Cultural Contents at Inje University and author Kim Hee-jin of "Care Humanities Class" will engage in 90-minute conversations with invited guests at 3 PM for each session.

The lectures will begin on the 24th at the book cafe "Thinking Museum" (Cheongdam-dong), followed by ▲ the 26th at "Flowing Stream" (Segok-dong) ▲ the 27th at the science specialty bookstore "Books and Entanglement" (Nonhyeon-dong) ▲ and the 28th at the community house "Anstable" (Daechi-dong).

In line with the leaders of the "Ontact" era, all lectures will be broadcast live on Facebook, and on-site participation is limited to fewer than five people in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

For more details, please refer to the district office website or the "Gangnam-gu Village Community Support Center" blog.

Meanwhile, Gangnam-gu is leading efforts to create a caring and respectful local community by selecting a total of 90 teams to participate in the "Village Community Resident Public Project," a project where residents propose and execute plans for regional development themselves.
