Real-Time Urban Data Service Provides One-Stop Web Access to 86 Types of Integrated Data Directly Related to Residents' Health and Safety, Developed Independently Without Budget
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will provide a new concept "Smart Gwanak Real-time City Data Service" (hereinafter referred to as Smart Gwanak Service) from the 21st, which collects data directly related to the health and safety of residents nationwide for the first time and allows them to be viewed at a glance in real time.
The district integrated 86 types of real-time living and safety data managed separately by various public institutions such as Seoul City, the Korea Meteorological Administration, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, and developed a one-stop web service that residents can easily check on their own without budget.
Through this, the current status of COVID-19 confirmed cases in our district and local fires or emergencies that were known through the news can be grasped at a glance in real time through the Smart Gwanak Service.
In addition, during heavy rain, real-time data such as ▲Dorimcheon water level ▲rainfall are provided to prevent disaster risks in advance, and real-time data such as ▲tap water quality ▲fine dust concentration ▲ozone and radiation concentration are provided to contribute to the healthy life of residents.
Moreover, location information of 49 types of facilities in 7 fields within the region, such as daycare centers, senior welfare centers, and child welfare centers, is provided on an online GIS map, allowing residents to check all facility information from welfare facilities to event festival venues in the area at a glance.
In addition, data on ▲population change trends ▲population density by neighborhood ▲foreign population and nationality distribution ▲budget and other district administration status data are visualized in graphs so that residents can easily understand them, and efforts to create a more transparent Gwanak-gu, such as pledge implementation status and mayor’s approval documents, are also included.
It also serves as a window showing the smart changes of Gwanak-gu. The top 10 latest smart projects promoted by Gwanak-gu so far are selected, allowing residents to see how Gwanak-gu is preparing for and challenging the future.
All data are updated in real time with the latest data through system linkage, and considering the recently diversified internet usage environment, the service is optimized for all devices including computers, smartphones, and tablets.
The Smart Gwanak Service can be accessed by searching "Smart Gwanak" on portals such as Naver and Daum, or by visiting the Gwanak-gu Office website (main banner) or scanning the QR code.
Mayor Park Junhee said, "As the focus of the country's future growth industries is concentrated on data due to the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Korean New Deal, and COVID-19, we have prepared a differentiated service unique to our district to create a data ecosystem," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create a 'Smart City Gwanak' that changes and helps residents' lives through various projects utilizing smart technology."
