Dongui University to Conduct All Courses via Remote Learning Until October 12 The facial recognition temperature measurement device installed at the entrance of the Dong-Eui University building is checking the body temperature of students entering.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University has operated all courses remotely for the first two weeks after the start of the second semester. From the third and fourth weeks, face-to-face classes are being conducted for experimental, practical, and skill subjects with fewer than 10 students enrolled.

Due to recent cluster infections at Dong-A University Bumin Campus and concerns over the spread of COVID-19 during the Chuseok holiday, an emergency meeting of university presidents held by Busan City on the afternoon of the 22nd decided to operate all courses remotely during the 5th week (9/29?10/5) and 6th week (10/6?12).

Starting from the 7th week on October 13, Dong-Eui University plans to operate classes divided into fully face-to-face classes (major practical courses, advisor seminars, major exploration and career design, etc.), hybrid face-to-face and remote classes (Type I ? major (theory) courses, common liberal arts, etc. / Type II ? major (theory + practice) courses), and fully remote classes (departmental liberal arts, balanced liberal arts, elective liberal arts, general electives, etc.).

Since September 15, Dong-Eui University has installed 22 facial recognition temperature measurement cameras at the entrances of each building in accordance with the face-to-face class schedule for some experimental and practical courses.

Emergency duty personnel have also been assigned to ensure that only students wearing masks and who have undergone temperature checks are allowed to attend classes.

The university has distributed over 4,500 disinfectant wipes to all administrative offices, classrooms, and experimental/practical labs on campus to disinfect hands and frequently touched personal items such as desks, chairs, tables, computer keyboards, and mice, thereby preventing virus transmission.
