Infraware Supplies 'Polaris Viewer' to Visang Education... Demand Rises with Remote Class Expansion

On the 23rd, office software specialist Infraware (041020) announced that it has supplied ‘Polaris Viewer’ to the education and culture company Visang Education.

Polaris Viewer is a document viewing application optimized for mobile environments. It allows users to view various document file formats such as MS Office, Hancom HWP, Adobe PDF, TXT, and ZIP files in their original form within a single app.

Visang Education provides the document viewing function of Polaris Viewer on ‘Alphatab,’ a dedicated smart learning device for the middle school online lecture site ‘Subakssi.com’ operated by the company. Alphatab is a Samsung tablet PC dedicated to learning that allows users to take middle school e-learning courses on Subakssi.com. Since COVID-19, new members of Subakssi.com have increased by more than 20% compared to the same period last year as of August.

Infraware offers a learning environment where students and parents can conveniently view all documents through Polaris Viewer. With the rapid spread of COVID-19 leading to increased homeschooling and online learning, the company plans to further expand the supply of office software in the education service sector starting with this supply contract.

An Infraware official said, “After COVID-19, remote work and telecommuting have become essential, and non-face-to-face education has also become a necessity,” adding, “This is the first supply contract with Visang Education.”
