An Introduction Article in President Moon Jae-in's Name Also Published in Time Magazine... "K-Quarantine Confirmed as a Global Model by the International Community"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] Jung Eun-kyung, Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, has been selected as one of the 100 most influential people in the world this year by Time magazine.
A Blue House official stated on the 23rd, "Jung Eun-kyung, Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, was chosen as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine," adding, "This confirms to the international community that K-Quarantine related to COVID-19 is a global model."
Time magazine published an introduction of Commissioner Jung by President Moon Jae-in. A Blue House official explained, "At the end of July, Time informed the Office of Overseas Press Secretary that Commissioner Jung was included in the 100," adding, "It is related to her outstanding achievements in responding to the pandemic situation. Time requested an introduction written by President Moon, and he gladly accepted the request."
President Moon conveyed that Commissioner Jung's expertise, communication with the public, and sincerity led to the success of K-Quarantine.
The 100 most influential people in the world selected by Time magazine have been announced annually since 2004, and this year marks the 17th edition. A special program introducing each of the 100 selected by Time will be broadcast this year.
President Moon was also selected as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2018.
