The Titleist Tour Speed golf ball (photo) started under the project name 'EXPㆍ01.' It has undergone robot testing as well as large-scale amateur golfer testing in North America, verifying its groundbreaking performance and consistency. Featuring a 3-piece construction, as the model name suggests, it boasts the fastest speed in its class. It also applies a thermoplastic urethane (TPU) cover, developed independently over several years, for the first time.

The combination of a high-speed core and an ionomer casing layer delivers definite distance and low spin. Added to this is the thermoplastic urethane cover, which provides a soft feel and strong spin control around the greens. It acts as a driving force that achieves distance in the long game and precise control in the short game. The new 346 four-sided tetrahedral dimple design helps sharp and consistent flight.

It is interesting that a unique triple-arrow side stamp is printed around the phrase 'TOUR SPEED' engraved on the golf ball. This serves as a starting point for golfers to easily align their target during putting.
