[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Inje University in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that its College of Business Administration has introduced a ‘Business Simulation Game’ as an educational program to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, and has been implementing it since the second semester of this year.

The College of Business Administration at Inje University partnered with the educational content specialist company ‘Paul & Mark’ in July to establish the ‘Business Innovation Center.’ Through the business simulation game ‘Marketplace Live,’ students can engage with business administration, which can be difficult to understand, in a simpler and more enjoyable way.

‘Marketplace Live’ has been used as a training program for employees of global companies worldwide and major domestic corporations, but Inje University is the first to apply it to major courses at universities in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region.

The Department of Business Administration arranged for first-year students who took business theory classes in the first semester to engage in realistic and effective learning through ‘Marketplace Live’ in the second semester. Through this game, students can virtually experience overall corporate operations such as marketing strategy, internet marketing, sales strategy, profitability management, and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, with support from the Inje University Career Development Center, the business simulation game program is currently being conducted mainly for first-year business administration students, and specialized modules for upperclassmen will be operated in the future.

Jang Young-jae, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Inje University, stated, “We will actively support business students to experience virtual management using the Marketplace program and grow into responsible and practical business leaders of the future.”
