Gwangju Bank Holds Love Sharing Event for Chuseok with Gwang Eun Leaders Club

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 22nd that the Gwang-eun Leaders Club (Chairman Kim Hong-gyun), a gathering of outstanding local small and medium-sized enterprise CEOs, held a sharing event to express their love for the region ahead of Chuseok.

On this day, Gwangju Bank President Song Jong-wook, Gwang-eun Leaders Club Chairman Kim Hong-gyun, and other executives visited the Bethel Regional Children's Center in Buk-gu, Gwangju, and the Vision School Regional Children's Center in Seo-gu to personally deliver donations, computers, and learning aids, encouraging the children.

The Gwang-eun Leaders Club is a gathering of outstanding local SME CEOs in partnership with Gwangju Bank, currently boasting around 260 members. Every year during Lunar New Year and Chuseok, they visit local welfare facilities to share warmth, support the Gwangju-Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and continuously engage in various sharing activities, leading by example for the development of the local community.

Kim Hong-gyun, Chairman of the Gwang-eun Leaders Club Central Association (President of Namseon Industry), said, “Since its founding in 2007, the Gwang-eun Leaders Club, the top CEO gathering in our region, has been dedicated to social contribution activities and job creation, serving as a bridgehead for local community development. We will do our best to coexist with local residents by practicing warm sharing with marginalized neighbors and actively responding to local issues for the development of the community.”

Gwangju Bank President Song Jong-wook stated, “This year has been especially difficult for all local residents due to COVID-19 and heavy rains. At times like these, we will do our utmost as Gwangju-Jeonnam’s representative bank to comfort local residents and support regional co-prosperity. We will strive to pursue value beyond profit by continuously engaging in social contribution activities and seeking financial support to revitalize the local economy.”
