According to the Prime Minister's Office, around 10:20 a.m. that day, an employee working at the Prime Minister's Office was notified of a positive COVID-19 test result.
Although Prime Minister Chung was not in close contact with the confirmed employee, he proactively canceled his schedule and underwent a diagnostic test at a screening clinic in Jongno-gu.
Prime Minister Chung plans to self-isolate at home until the test results are available.
The Prime Minister's Office instructed employees in the department where the confirmed case occurred to undergo diagnostic testing and took measures for employees who had contact to self-isolate.
