[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Lotte Construction announced on the 22nd that it has published a sustainability management report containing sustainable growth and performance, securing consensus among stakeholders regarding its management activities.
Since publishing its first sustainability management report in 2013, Lotte Construction has released the report annually to transparently disclose its sustainability management activities and achievements over the year. The report includes financial and non-financial activities and results from the previous year. Important matters are covered up to July 2020 to aid readers' understanding, and performance from the past three years is reflected for comparison purposes.
This report deeply covers efforts and achievements in various areas of sustainability management at Lotte Construction, including competitiveness enhancement, safety and climate change response, talent management, customer satisfaction, social contribution, mutual growth, ethics, and compliance management. By reporting strategies and activities aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, it reflects Lotte Construction’s will and efforts to grow together with local communities as a corporate citizen.
A Lotte Construction official stated, “Although the domestic and international business environment is becoming increasingly difficult due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Lotte Construction will do its best to fulfill its role as a corporate citizen that adheres to basics and principles through creating social value and sustaining growth.”
Meanwhile, Lotte Construction’s 2020 Sustainability Management Report was prepared based on the Core Option of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards, an international organization that sets standards for report preparation. The report was published simultaneously in Korean and English and is available for download on the Lotte Construction website.
