Event Held to Boost Morale of Police Cadets Restricted from Leave and Outings Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Jeong Young-jin) announced on the 21st that it held the “Cheer Up, Auxiliary Police” event supporting a food truck to boost the morale of auxiliary police whose leave and outings have been restricted for a long time due to COVID-19.
According to the Maritime Police, during the event, a food truck event was presented to about 120 auxiliary police officers at the exercise yard inside the building, providing food and beverages and allowing them a brief moment of rest.
Yoo Hee-min, a police officer surprised by the event, said, “It has been mentally difficult due to restrictions on leave and outings, but thanks to the consideration from the police station, it helped boost morale,” adding, “I will strictly follow personal quarantine rules so that COVID-19 can end as soon as possible.”
Chief Jeong Young-jin, who joined the auxiliary police officers, said, “I was concerned because leave, outings, and overnight stays were restricted due to COVID-19,” and added, “Despite recent unfavorable maritime conditions caused by three typhoons, everyone has faithfully carried out their assigned duties, which makes me proud and thankful.”
Meanwhile, through this event, Mokpo Maritime Police plans to implement measures such as operating weekday days off and holding joint ancestral rites during the Chuseok holiday to boost the morale of auxiliary police officers.
