[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-joo] Actor Kwon Sang-woo denied the gambling allegations raised by YouTuber Kim Yong-ho, calling them "groundless."
A representative from Kwon Sang-woo's agency, Su Company, stated on the 21st, "The gambling allegations are nonsense and groundless. We don't understand why this is happening all of a sudden."
Earlier, on the 20th, YouTuber Kim Yong-ho, a former entertainment reporter, mentioned celebrities' gambling activities during a live broadcast on his YouTube channel.
Kim Yong-ho claimed, "Kang Sung-beom is a VIP at a casino in the Philippines. He must be well-known to be hosting events like this." He also alleged that Kwon Sang-woo was present at the scene when Shin Jung-hwan was caught at an illegal gambling site in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
He continued, "The police should have arrested the much more famous Kwon Sang-woo, but they took Shin Jung-hwan instead. Under the protection of an organization, Kwon Sang-woo escaped while only Shin Jung-hwan was caught," and reiterated the gambling allegations against Kwon Sang-woo, saying, "Shin Jung-hwan must have felt very wronged inside."
