Sampyo Cement, Normalization of Samcheok Plant Operations

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Sampyo Cement announced on the 21st that it will resume production of some cement manufacturing facilities at the Samcheok plant. The sales amount for the resumed production sector is 257.9 billion KRW, which corresponds to 42% of last year's sales.

The company stated, "After completing safety measures, we received an official letter from the Central Regional Employment and Labor Office Taebaek Branch lifting the partial work suspension," and explained, "The resumption of production at some of the halted facilities has normalized the operation of the Samcheok plant."
