Seongbuk-gu, 20% Discount Special Sale of ‘Seongbuk (Jang·Seok·Wol) Gift Certificates’

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will specially issue mobile local love gift certificates on the 21st that can only be used in the area near Jangwi-dong to support merchants and residents who are suffering severe damage due to the spread of COVID-19 originating from Sarang Jeil Church in Jangwi-dong.

As a relief measure for livelihood damage caused by COVID-19 before the holidays, the Seongbuk (Jang·Seok·Wol) gift certificates being sold can only be used in Jangwi-dong, Seokgwan-dong, and Wolgok-dong in Seongbuk-gu, and can be purchased at a 20% discounted price.

The Seongbuk (Jang·Seok·Wol) gift certificates can be used at about 3,000 Zero Pay affiliated stores located in Jangwi 1, 2, 3-dong, Seokgwan-dong, and Wolgok 1, 2-dong in Seongbuk-gu. The validity period of the gift certificates is limited to 6 months from the date of purchase.

Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "I hope this will be a small help to the local merchants who are having a hard time giving up their livelihoods and hopes due to COVID-19, and that consumption in the frozen area near Jangwi-dong will be revitalized again so that our residents, including small business owners and market merchants who are experiencing difficulties, can have a warm Chuseok."

The Seongbuk (Jang·Seok·Wol) gift certificates, scheduled to be issued for 3.5 billion KRW this time, will start selling from 10 a.m. on the 21st through 14 payment apps of the Korea Simple Payment Promotion Agency (such as Beeple Zero Pay, Check Pay, etc.), and are expected to bring great vitality to the revitalization of the local economy.
