Infections Occur Consecutively at Gwanak-gu Sauna and Gangnam-gu Online Retailers

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The daily number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul has dropped to the 20s.
As of midnight on the 19th, Seoul City announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 28 from the previous day, bringing the total confirmed cases to 4,972.
The daily confirmed cases in Seoul recorded in the 20s for the first time in 39 days since 26 cases on the 12th of last month. The number of confirmed cases surged to 154 on the 26th of last month but has shown signs of calming down this month, decreasing to 63 on the 16th, 46 on the 17th, 40 on the 18th, and finally dropping to the 20s on the 19th.
However, small-scale cluster infections continue to occur. Three new cases were added at a sauna in Gwanak-gu, bringing the total related cases there to six, and three additional cases were reported related to a mail-order business in Gangnam-gu, increasing the total to seven.
One more case was added in the infection cluster related to 'Donghun Industrial Development,' a real estate company in Gangnam-gu, bringing the total to 13 in Seoul alone.
Other new confirmed cases include one person infected through contact with confirmed cases from other cities and provinces, and eight cases from old cluster infections or sporadic cases.
Twelve confirmed cases are still under investigation as their infection routes have not yet been identified, accounting for nearly half, 42.9%, of the new cases reported that day.
Meanwhile, one more death was reported in Seoul, bringing the total to 47. The 47th death was related to a nursing facility in Seongbuk-gu; the patient was confirmed positive on the 31st of last month and had been receiving isolation treatment until passing away on the 19th.
So far, 3,961 people in Seoul have been declared recovered and discharged, while 964 are still undergoing isolation treatment.
