[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, expressed his gratitude on the 20th for the number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) dropping to double digits for the first time in 38 days, saying it was "thanks to the patience and cooperation of the people."

On the same day, Lee stated on his Facebook, "Yesterday, there were 82 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, falling below 100 for the first time in 38 days."
