[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] On the 19th, Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung, who has been continuously attacking the Korea Institute of Public Finance, saying he is a "typical strong-weak-weak-strong who is weak to the strong and strong to the weak."

On the same day, Ha posted on his Facebook, "Lee, who did not utter a word about the issues of Cho Kuk and Minister Choo Mi-ae, is now indiscriminately labeling powerless research institutions as corrupt," he said.

Ha pointed out, "He is endlessly submissive to the strong pro-Moon Jae-in power and harsh like a gangster in criticizing the weak," calling it "typical selective anger."

He continued, "It is really petty for a leading figure of the ruling party to label powerless researchers as corrupt just because they oppose his policies," adding, "If his policies are right and confident, the residents will judge for themselves. I hope Lee stops harassing the weak and firmly takes action against unfair power."

Earlier, on the 18th, Lee strongly criticized the Korea Institute of Public Finance, which released a report stating that "local currency is ineffective in revitalizing the economy," calling it a "corrupt institution that must be eliminated" and a "foolish national research institute that baselessly attacks government policies."

Lee is currently actively rebutting opinions opposing the necessity of introducing local currency and continues to engage in heated debates on social media.
