Mark Simons, acting chief of the Rochester Police Department, stated that "a total of 16 casualties have been confirmed" and "it is unfortunate to report that 2 of them sustained fatal injuries and died," according to foreign news agencies including AP and AFP.
The victims are all between 18 and 22 years old, and their identities have not yet been confirmed. The remaining injured were immediately taken to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
