[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon analyzed on the 19th that the Democratic Party of Korea's expulsion of lawmaker Kim Hong-gul, who caused controversy over 'underreporting of assets,' was "simply choosing a scapegoat to appease public sentiment boiling over due to Chu Mi-ae and Yoon Mee-hyang."
On the same day, Jin posted on his Facebook, saying, "Kim Hong-gul will retain his parliamentary seat even if expelled," and added, "Whether he is expelled or not, the party suffers no loss."
He continued, "It's not like that one vote is precious, and anyway, that one vote will follow the Democratic Party. That scapegoat is the kind who comes down from the altar alive without shedding a drop of blood. He will never become a skewer."
He also pointed out, "He will be rewarded with a nomination for his constituency in the next general election, saying 'Thank you for your hard work.' The Democratic Party's schemers have been plotting. Meanwhile, Yoon Mee-hyang and Chu Mi-ae have not been ousted."
In a post on the previous day (the 18th), Jin also claimed about lawmaker Kim Hong-gul, "This person is Christ," and said, "He was cut off to atone for Chu Mi-ae's sins."
He added, "Don't worry too much. He will be resurrected in three days," and said, "There is a divine providence that is difficult for human minds to understand when those who do not know ethics suddenly pretend to be ethical."
