[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] The government has urged strict adherence to quarantine rules as the decline in domestic COVID-19 cases is slow, and the spread of infection remains persistent in the Seoul metropolitan area.
Kang Do-tae, the 1st General Coordinator of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) and Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, stated in his opening remarks at the CDSCH meeting held at the Government Seoul Office that day, "Although the number of daily confirmed cases is decreasing, the downward trend is progressing slowly," and added, "The Seoul metropolitan area still maintains a high proportion of cases, accounting for around 75% of the total."
