The number of domestic community infection cases, which had been increasing earlier this week, fell back to the low 100s.
By region, Seoul reported 46 cases, Gyeonggi 32, and Incheon 4, with most cases concentrated in the metropolitan area. Outside the metropolitan area, there were 7 cases in Jeonbuk, 5 in Gyeongbuk, 3 each in Chungbuk, Chungnam, and Gyeongnam, 2 each in Daegu and Daejeon, and 1 each in Busan and Jeju.
In particular, the number of imported cases showed an increasing trend. There were 4 cases from Uzbekistan, 1 from Bangladesh, 1 from the Philippines, 1 from Kyrgyzstan, 1 from Indonesia, and 1 from Nepal, indicating a high number of cases imported from Asia. Additionally, there were 4 cases from the United States, and 1 each from Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, and Turkey.
The number of critically ill patients is 150, and there were 5 deaths, bringing the total cumulative deaths to 377.
