The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 18th that it has recognized Kim Young-ja (69) and Jung Hoe-seok (57) as the holders of the national intangible cultural heritage Pansori (Simcheongga), which became vacant after the passing of Sung Chang-soon (1934?2017). Kim began learning Pansori at the age of eight under Jeong Gwon-jin (1927?1986), a former holder, studying Simcheongga and Chunhyangga. It has been transmitted based in Boseong, Jeollanam-do.
