[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is recruiting village education content creators (instructors) to be active in the 2021 Dongjak Innovation Education District until October 8.
Eligibility includes organizations or individuals capable of carrying out educational content projects located in Seoul. The district supports up to 2 million KRW per content and up to 16 million KRW annually per organization (individual).
The recruitment fields consist of six categories of village education content focused on creative experiences that differ from existing school education: ▲ Village exploration/humanities ▲ Culture and arts ▲ Play/sports ▲ Science/environment ▲ 4th industrial revolution ▲ Career exploration/social/psychological and emotional areas.
Upon final selection, the content will be built into the Dongjak Innovation Education District village education pool and provided to schools. Schools will utilize the village education content in ▲ regular classes ▲ after-school programs ▲ cooperative teacher systems for curriculum ▲ free semester system linked with village education, among others.
Applications are accepted from September 28 to October 8. Applicants can download the application forms from the district office website, fill them out, and submit them via email to the person in charge.
Especially, to establish COVID-19 response non-face-to-face class content, applicants must include online class plans in their application.
The district plans to upload a video explaining the village education pool-school linkage content contest on the ‘Dongjak Innovation Education District’ YouTube channel from September 21 to October 8.
Additionally, from September 24 to 25, from 1 PM to 6 PM, pre-consultations for application writing guidance will be held at the Happy School Hope Education Cooperative (3rd floor, Wonchang Building, 28 Daerim-ro) with one-on-one counseling.
Evaluation will be conducted through document review by the Innovation Education Certification Committee, composed of experts in ▲ lifelong education ▲ children and youth ▲ education workers ▲ village stakeholders, with results expected to be announced at the end of October.
All selected village education content instructors will complete the ‘Online Village Instructor Mandatory Training’ from November 5 to 7 and will be finally registered in the 2021 Dongjak Innovation Education District village education pool.
The mandatory training for village instructors includes ▲ school safety education ▲ sexual violence prevention education ▲ child and youth psychology ▲ understanding school curriculum ▲ teaching methods.

Meanwhile, on the 11th, the district successfully held the ‘2020 Eulracha Eulcha Online Concert’ via YouTube live broadcast, with about 100 participants including members of the Dongjak Innovation Education District and residents interested in innovation education.
