[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 17th that it held a progress review meeting on the 16th regarding excellent cases that resolved difficulties faced by residents and businesses due to regulations through proactive administration.
The review meeting, chaired by Deputy Governor Hong Seokbong, comprehensively reviewed the regulatory innovation status through proactive administration over the past year, followed by presentations of cases by each team and discussions on matters to be supplemented and promoted.
The excellent cases presented this time included achieving the highest total fertility rate nationwide, expanding resident welfare and business attraction loan support projects, Yeonggwang island residents boarding passenger ships for 1,000 won, and the nationwide first successful development of a dedicated young barley harvester, totaling 13 cases.
The county confirmed that based on employees' awareness reform regarding proactive administration and regulatory innovation, it is carrying out unique special policy projects and producing visible results.
For some cases with insufficient performance, plans are in place to actively reflect residents' demands and make improvements.
Deputy Governor Hong Seokbong said, “Proactive administration means that public officials take the position of residents and businesses,” and added, “I ask that you promote administration that residents and businesses can feel.”
